The presidential style of war-making "may yet lead us into war in Syria." So says D.D. Guttenplan at the start of a documentary* on the Gulf of Tonkin incident on the BBC World Service at the moment. My great aunt knew Senator Fulbright, who sponsored the Gulf of Tonkin Resolution but later turned against the war, she mentioned once how he'd regretted being fooled by the administration.
